Back office for flooring

Every room measured, acclimated, and walked through before sign-off

The business sells, delivers, and installs residential floors — hardwood, engineered wood, luxury vinyl plank, laminate, tile, carpet, and specialty surfaces — with every job material-led: the product chosen, the square footage measured on site, and acclimation and cure time built into the schedule.

Configured for Flooring

Not generic software. Your trade's operating system.

The configured workflow pack covers demo and subfloor prep, the room-by-room install, and specialty floors — from in-home measure to the eye-level QA walkthrough and the recurring floor-care offer.

TP-01

Measure before money

No firm quote without an in-home measure: per-room square footage, subfloor condition, moisture readings, and material choice are all captured on site, and no estimate goes out over the phone from photos alone.

TP-02

Acclimation clock enforced

Materials deliver 2–4 days before install so wood acclimates to living conditions; the schedule enforces the manufacturer's acclimation and cure times — never skipped to fit a calendar.

TP-03

Square-footage accountability

Measured vs. installed vs. invoiced square footage is logged and reconciled; waste factors are shown on the quote and material receipts are kept — the invoice always ties to the measure.

Your workflow pack

Every phase configured before you log in.

Your back office ships with these phases built for Flooring — tasks, checklists, and QA gates included.

Phase 1

Intake & Scheduling

Intake captures rooms, current floor type, desired material, and timeline; jobs route to the standard queue — flooring is non-emergency, scheduled work.

Phase 2

Quote & Approval

Quoted per square foot — labor (demo, prep, install, finish) plus materials pass-through — within ~24–48 hours of the measure; install dates are never promised before materials and acclimation are accounted for.

Phase 3

Demo & Subfloor Prep

Crew path protected and dust control set; old flooring demoed and hauled; subfloor inspected, moisture-tested, cleaned, leveled, and repaired before any install.

Phase 4

Install

Acclimation clock started on delivery and verified per spec; dry-lay layout with expansion gaps; underlayment or moisture barrier installed as specified; floor laid row by row with jambs undercut and transitions set.

Phase 5

Specialty & Cure

Heat mats, epoxy, gym, and garage floors prepped and installed per manufacturer instructions; cure start and end logged, full cure allowed before traffic, and a product-specific care sheet left.

Phase 6

QA & Closeout

Eye-level walkthrough with the customer — gaps, transitions, damaged planks, trim fit, cleanliness — punch items logged as tasks and re-checked before sign-off.

Phase 7

Invoicing & Review

Invoiced from the approved scope — labor plus materials pass-through; 24-hour check-in, review request, and the recurring floor-care offer where applicable.

Quoting, our way: Per-square-foot quotes split labor from materials pass-through, with waste factors shown — no firm quote without the on-site measure, and no install date promised before materials are ordered, delivered, and acclimation is accounted for.

How a job flows

From first call to paid invoice.

Step 1

Discovery

Searching for a flooring installer, reading cost and what-to-expect content, or quoting through the concierge widget — response follows the chosen SLA tier, never a guaranteed arrival time.

Step 2

In-home measure and consultation

A crew member measures each room length by width, totals the square footage, assesses the subfloor, and discusses material choice and lifestyle needs — expect this to take 1–2 hours for a typical home.

Step 3

Quote review and scheduling

Written quote within ~24–48 hours of the measure, split into labor and materials; approval and deposit lock an install window with material ordering and delivery built in.

Step 4

Prep and acclimation

The customer clears rooms and plans ventilation; materials are delivered 2–4 days before install so wood acclimates to normal living conditions before the first plank goes down.

Step 5

Install days

The crew arrives, confirms scope, removes the old flooring, preps the subfloor (clean, dry, level), and installs the new floor row by row with transitions and trim — the area is off-limits during work, with dust and noise expected on demo day.

Step 6

Cure, walkthrough, and closeout

Product-specific cure times are honored before furniture returns; the eye-level walkthrough is followed by care instructions, the balance due, a 24-hour check-in, and the review request.

Proof on every job

Evidence your customers can see.

Every Flooring job carries photo and documentation standards — dispute prevention built into the workflow.

  • ✓  Before/after photos of every room
  • ✓  Square-footage log: measured vs. installed vs. invoiced
  • ✓  Material receipts and purchase records retained against the invoice
  • ✓  Moisture-meter readings logged for wood over concrete or slab installs before proceeding
  • ✓  Acclimation and cure logs; QA walkthrough checklist with punch items resolved before sign-off

Our boundary, stated plainly: Honest limits are built in: the subfloor is inspected and moisture-tested but never certified structurally sound, furniture moves only with explicit confirmation, and acclimation or cure time is never cut to fit a schedule.

Pricing

One recovered job a month pays for it.

Your Deputy tiers for Flooring: Priced per square foot by area and material — labor plus materials passed through — with a minimum visit fee on small jobs. Same platform, configured for how flooring work gets billed.
